The Institutional Planning Office (IPO) is mandated to formulate and regularly update the University’s plans and projects, monitor their implementation and submit institutional policy recommendations and periodic reports to the President, through the Vice President for Research, Extension, Planning, and Development.
Each organization exists for a unique reason.
Essentially, this reason pertains to the performance of voluminous tasks
aimed at accomplishing organizational goals and targets.
The University created the Institutional Planning
Office (IPO), one of the units under the Office of the Vice President for
Research, Extension, and Development, for the sole purpose of
“developing and regularly updating the University's plans and projects,
monitor their implementation and formulate recommendations” through the Vice
President to the President and to the Board of Regents. Its creation
indicates the Administration's recognition of the significance of planning
to the life of the University. A University Plan, after all, defines the
reason for the existence of the University.
